DCR's Data Management Team
DCR was one of the pioneering institutes in Switzerland to introduce the REDCap web application a decade ago for the creation of databases in clinical studies. Since then, many institutions have joined the REDCap community.

In collaboration with the Data Management team at the DCR and the IT Services Office, the University of Bern has established a central REDCap installation aligned with the University’s digitalization goals and security standards. The basic functionality of this new REDCap installation, launched on 18 November 2024 and operational in 2025, is available free of charge to all researchers at the University of Bern and Inselspital; aiming to support both clinical and non-clinical research infrastructure.
