Driving research forward is a core priority for the Department of Clinical Research.

We are fortunate to collaborate with many researchers and clinicians, and to support a wide range of projects throughout the year.

The grants listed reflect both projects supported by the DCR and those led in collaboration with external research partners. Researchers affiliated with the DCR are indicated as (DCR).

DCR is here to support you throughout each step of the process. The process follows a four-step approach

STEP 01

Letter of Intent (LOI) Submission

Prospective investigators submit a brief LOI and PPI Preparatory Grant outlining the project. Reach out to the DCR with a study idea or a summary as early as possible to ensure sufficient time for collaboration and preparation.

STEP 02

Full Proposal Submission

Successful LOI applicants are invited to submit detailed full proposal, including logistics, budget and statistical study design.

STEP 03

Rebuttal to Written Peer Review

Proposals that meet formal requirements then undergo rigorous peer review evaluation. In the rebuttal stage, comments from peer reviewers are clarified in a letter by the principal investigator.

STEP 04

Proposal Outcome

Final decision is communicated. DCR meets with the partnered researchers to discuss proceeding with the study, resubmitting the proposal or discussing next steps.
